Version 1.2.62 (70)

New Features

Titles and graphics now have their own timeline tracks. Place
animated text and graphic overlays over recordings or native empty
slides, then move and trim them independently of the scene underneath.
Slides keep their own background and transitions, and title animation
and transition menus include hover previews with simpler controls and
direct deletion from the timeline

A built-in library of 13 reusable graphics includes title cards,
feature cards, app badges, callouts, keyboard shortcuts, testimonials,
metrics, comparisons, and more. Choose a design in Graphic Type and edit
its content, appearance, typography, shadow, and available motion
controls. Import and export
.scgraphic
packages to share
designs; projects keep their own copy of the design and assets alongside
your edits

SmoothCapture now includes an MCP server so compatible AI assistants
can record a screen or window, edit the native timeline, add titles and
graphics, shape zooms and 3D camera shots, inspect rendered frames, and
export videos. Timeline edits support native undo and redo, while
transcript, audio analysis, and local Kokoro or Pocket TTS narration
tools help find spoken passages, quiet sections, and add editable
voiceover clips

New 3D device frames: iPad and iPhone 18 Pro, with Black, Burgundy,
Glacier, and Silver finishes for the iPhone

Cursor visibility can now be set for individual video segments, so
one part of a recording can show the pointer while another hides it

Improvements

Move selected timeline blocks together with stable spacing and
snapping at the selection’s edges

Placement controls now share a draggable pad with axis snapping and
a center reset. Camera, background, cursor, audio, and other inspectors
use more consistent dial controls, and the laptop lid control snaps to
Straight when the screen stands upright

Smoother cursor motion blur and steadier movement tilt, with
refinements to panning and zoom blur

Refreshed app icon and cleaner toolbar and device-frame controls.
Transport and icon buttons respond across their full visible area

Bug Fixes

Fixed a crash when cancelling an export or finishing one while
frames were still queued

Fixed background flicker during slide transitions

Kept the camera upright when tilting past 90°, and fixed loss of
image quality when adjusting camera distance
